Wahoo!!!

In trying to build my business, I recently contacted a few local photographers hoping for some sort of "partnership." What I got is amazing!!!

Just Jill Photography was looking for a new logo and blog design. I am so happy to add Jill as a friend. We hit it off right away and seemed to click wonderfully. Her blog "officially" went online today, be sure to pay her a visit and if you are in the area, she is one amazing photographer. I am anxious to share some of our other goodies with you, but will wait until they are a further developed.

I have several other irons in the fire and can't wait to see what adventures and blessings they have in store for me.

Be blessed!

Pick me, pick me!

I am so excited. I recently responded to a one kit Creative Team call, and they picked me! I am designing a few QuickPages for Pretty Scrappy. They are preparing to release a new collab kit created by their designers. The kit is simply wonderful. It is called Love and Kisses. Here is a preview of the kit.

How cute is that! And this is just a tiny preview. The kit is HUGE! I better not share anymore with you right now, since it hasn't been release yet. :)

Another Snow Day

Now don't get me wrong I love my children, but this is enough. Monday we were out for mid-winter break and it snowed. Tuesday we were out because it snowed on Monday and the high temp was only 20. So, now it is Wednesday and I have NO idea why we are out of school. As a dear pastor and friend of mine says, "I know why some animals eat their young." We've done all our "rainy day" activities and watched all the Sesame Street and Between the Lions we can handle. Not to mention the work that I should/would be doing if my children were in school. Oh, well, if you can't beat them, or as in this case "eat" them, might as well join them. So, I'm off to play dinosaurs.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Here I am, over half way though the month of January and I still haven't posted much of anything to my blog, much less the photos I intended to share with you.

It has been an exciting start to the new year. I have piled many projects on to my plate, fortunately most of them are not immediate, must be done now, projects.

I am very excited to be working with a new friend and local photographer. I have been helping her design a new logo and blog design. We are also working together to add some photo cards and announcements to her product line. I can't wait to share with you, but it is still hush-hush for now.

Also exciting is the work I am doing with my home church, Calvary Church. I have been creating power point slides for announcements and upcoming events. I love, love, love using my talents for God's glory!

I am also hard at work trying to pump up my local twins club. Since I am an officer, I figured I ought to do more than just come to the meetings. Any ideas on how to boost meeting attendance?

And finally, I am starting up my Scrap 4 Hire business. This blog is, of course, part of that undertaking. It has been frustrating and fun designing my own logo, business cards, and promotional items. I am certainly my own worst client, changing my mind over and over again. Here is my final (maybe) version of the first page of my portfolio album:

4 Hire

Your memories are the art life has created on your soul, shouldn't you share these gifts with your friends and family. I want to help you treasure your memories in a meaningful, unique way.

With several years of experience in photography, graphic design, and printing, I offer you my abilities to create a custom design you will be proud to showcase in your home.

I understand that memories are highly personal treasures, which is why I do not use pre-designed layouts. Each item will be as unique the memories it is created to emphasize. Using your photos and your journaling, I will create an original, custom designed work. It is my desire to tranform your most precious memories into keepsake art.

I can also design annoucements, invitations, and thank you cards. Please e-mail me and I will make a reserved listing for your request. These can be done on a "I Design, You Print" basis, or I can include printing for you.
